This one rule eliminates the cookie-cutter teams that dominate most fantasy platforms. You can’t stack six Brazilians and call it a strategy. You can’t ride one elite squad through the group stage. You have to make real predictions — which nations survive to the quarters, which mid-tier teams punch above their weight, which group-stage exit ends your midfield. Your squad needs exactly 11 players to be eligible. One of them is your Captain, who earns double points every match they play. Captain selection is its own strategic layer: the highest-value pick isn’t always the best captain if their team is a group-stage elimination risk.
How Points Score
Points are tied to real-world player performance across all 104 matches. When a player’s team gets eliminated, that player scores zero for the rest of the tournament. Your squad’s ceiling is directly correlated to how deep the countries you drafted from advance.
The leaderboard updates in real time after each match. Over six weeks and 104 games, the standings can shift substantially — a strong knockout-round draft with three or four nations going deep outperforms a group-stage-heavy squad with early exits.
Transfers
The platform’s transfer window structure is worth understanding before you lock your squad: 
Before tournament kickoff, you have unlimited transfers. Once the group stage locks, each subsequent round allows 5 changes before its deadline. This means you can — and should — adapt your squad as teams advance and eliminate. The five-transfer cap per round forces prioritization. You can’t rebuild your entire team; you have to identify your weakest links and cut them.
The transfer system is also the mechanism that makes late-tournament play interesting. A squad that looked brilliant through the group stage may be sitting on three eliminated nations by the Round of 16. The windows give you the tools to fix it.

Free Tier: Real Prizes, Zero Risk
